Our website www.britannia-jewellery.co.uk is regularly being updated and worked on we can change our terms at any time and without notice. All payment and refunds will be made to and refunded by Britannia Jewellery Ltd company number 10948336. These Terms & Conditions do not affect your statuary rights.
When shopping with Britannia Jewellery Ltd purchases can be made via our website www.britannia-jewellery.co.uk or visiting our store Britannia Jewellery – 41-42 Frederick Street, Hockley, Birmingham B1 3HN. Payments can be made online via our check out tool, a direct payment into our bank, or instore but we do not take payments over the phone or accept PayPal or American Express . By using our services and making a purchase you are agreeing to the price and to our terms and conditions as stated.
Whilst we try to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices which appear on our website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of any goods which you have ordered or due to circumstances beyond our control prices may have to be altered, including any variations in the rate of VAT, we will inform you of this as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you, we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund. We reserve the right to cancel any order at any time without reason and issue a full refund.
Once an order has been made, we will send you an email confirmation. This is an automated response acknowledging your order, this email does not complete your order.
Britannia Jewellery will not be liable in the following circumstances:
- We will always endeavour to fulfill your order, however if items purchased are no longer available, we will contact you at our earliest convenience and a full refund will be issued.
- If the delivery address provided by the customer during the ordering process is not valid, we will contact you to verify the address.
- Prices are live and may change.
- Items reserved are still live and may be purchased by anyone until final payment has been made.
- If you are making an order using our finance options, we can only deliver to your home address as provided on your finance agreement.
We reserve the right to cancel any orders even after receiving payments and a refund will be issued.
Changes in Sizing
Ring sizes listed are in UK sizes. Sizing can be offered on rings at an additional cost if possible, to do so. For information on sizing of a ring please call us on 0121 212 1715 or E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
Variations in imagery & weight
Britannia Jewellery will take every care in ensuring all images on our website are an accurate depiction of the item being sold. Britannia Jewellery will not be liable for small imperfections in the jewellery. Gold is a very soft and highly polished metal and can easily be marked, especially in transit. All measurements are taken with calibrated equipment and are listed as an approximate value.
New item weights may differ slightly due to the manufacturing process. The weight displayed is an average and the product received after ordering can weigh more or less than the weight displayed on the product page.
We will always endeavour to ensure your items are dispatched and delivered to you without delay.
Provided all the conditions above are met, orders will be dispatched within 48 hours of the order being accepted.
We deliver to the United Kingdom including BFPO’s (British Forces Post Office). Unfortunately, we do not deliver to the Channel Islands or a PO BOX address. If you are making an order using our finance options, we can only deliver to your home address as provided on your finance agreement. We are unable to accept responsibility for items delivered to houses of multiple occupancy. You should not accept any items that appear to have been tampered with i.e split bags, opened boxes or items that have been resealed with tape. Items that appear to have been tampered with should be refused and asked to be returned to us.
Britannia Jewellery relies on third party companies to deliver the products to the customers and as such will not be held liable for any delays or failings on their part.
Britannia Jewellery reserves the right to refuse to deliver to an address which may be deemed as being unsafe, unlawful or unreasonable to do so.
If the buyer fails to take delivery of an item, Britannia Jewellery will not be held liable for any delays in delivery.
Orders placed after 1 pm Friday will be dispatched on Monday excluding Bank Holidays.
All items will be delivered by Royal Mail Special Delivery which requires a signature by the customer. Royal Mail Special Delivery aims for goods to be delivered within 24 hours of dispatch. If your item has not been delivered within 7 working days from receiving your dispatch email, you must notify us via email at email@example.com or call us on 0121 2121715 so we can contact Royal Mail to locate the item.
In – Store Collection
We offer an in-store collection service, please note we cannot release goods to third parties, in exceptional circumstances, with the permission of the buyer we may agree to do so. Please contact us on 0121 212 1715 if this applies you must provide photo ID matching the invoice and a copy of the sales invoice for the items purchased upon request.
Refunds and Exchanges
If you are unhappy with the items purchased, we will be glad to offer an exchange or refund within 14 days of receiving your order. This does not affect your statutory rights.
If an item arrives to you faulty or damaged you must notify Britannia Jewellery within 30 days of receiving your item to be eligible for a repair or refund. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Refunds will only be accepted if the items are unworn and the original packaging is provided. Please also include a copy of your invoice. Please note if there was a security tag and it was removed, we will be unable to offer you a return or exchange. This tag is proof that the item has not been worn, please take when trying the item on to avoid the security tag breaking. Once the seal is broken the right to a refund or exchange is nullified.
The buyer is responsible for the delivery cost for the return of the package. If an item is refunded, the buyer will also be liable to pay the delivery cost incurred by Britannia Jewellery when sending the item. The refund issued will be less the initial delivery cost.
Refunds will be issued by Britannia Jewellery within 48 hours of receiving the returned item. Refund payments typically take up to 5 working days to appear within your account, although this varies depending on your bank. Please speak with your bank or building society to ascertain the timeframe.
We strongly suggest that the buyer uses Royal Mail Special Delivery when returning items and makes sure the item is insured for the correct amount.
Britannia Jewellery is not liable for any products that get damaged or lost in transit on their way back to us.
Items can also be returned in store.
For reasons of hygiene Britannia Jewellery does not offer refunds or exchanges on earrings. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Please download the returns form and complete it in full and either take it to store with you or include it in any parcel being returned, if printing is not possible attach it to an email and send it to firstname.lastname@example.org.

Valuation for insurance
Items described as coming with a valuation for insurance will be sent with a valuation for insurance done by Birmingham Assay Office. If you require a name change on your valuation it must be done through Birmingham Assay Office which will incur a cost.
